So.
You think you want to email me, eh?

You might be interested to know that rumors are being bandied about in cyberspace that I've got permanent PMS...You have been warned...

Ground rules:

  1. Please, please, please, I beg of you: don't ask me to link your page! Do you have any idea how many requests I get to link up to other people's personal pages? Too many to count, and what's more, the vast majority are gone within a month. Therefore, a little while back, I made the ultimate executive decision: no more links - unless they can substantially contribute to the subject matter of this site (and I'll be the judge of that).

  2. Please keep in mind that the topic of this site is the Women of 1970's Punk. Which means that it's not about women in general; it's not about punk music in general; and most certainly it's not about the 1970's (shudder) in general. Remember, I'm old enough to have lived through the 1970's and believe me, it was bad enough the first time around; I cannot for the life of me understand this ongoing adulatoin of old bell-bottoms, hideously ugly haberdashery, blue eye shadow, disco muzak and long, straight, shapeless hair. I say good riddance to the 1970's - may I never see brown courderoy again!

  3. Please do not ask me where to find rare recordings, bootlegs, videos, or other releases that are listed on this. The main discography is simply a compilation (i.e. a bibliography) and not a listing of my personal collection (i.e. union catalogue). That is, just because I have an item listed in my discography does not mean that I actually own that release.

  4. Please do not ask me to trade, sell, or exchange tape copies. Again, I just don't have the time for that sort of thing. If you are looking for specific recordings, you can try attending record shows, reading collector magazines, checking the Web (e.g. ebay) and hunting in used record shops.

  5. Before writing to tell me that I've not included information on one subject or another, put on yer spex (x-ray if necessary) and read. Follow all the links. Use the search interface available on the main page. I've tried to make this site as logical as possible. If in doubt, follow Rina's 6-P Rule: Please Peruse this Page Profusely Prior to Pestering me. You would not believe how many times I have been scolded for not including information on some artist that has been in place from the very beginning. Sad but true.

  6. OK, this one's important: I don't want to receive any more "I'm writing a term paper for high school and I need your help" sob stories...I am very serious about this - you don't want to piss me off! And especially, do not combine #2 and #6 - you know, that old cliché, I am doing a project for school and I picked the 1970's - I mean, really! If I were your teacher, I would fail the lot of you! A school project on the 1970's indeed...

  7. If you don't find the one thing you were salivating for, remember: it's not like I have a secret stash of information that I only dole out in small bits and snips to those I consider worthy. If an item is really and truly missing from my site (I never said I was perfect), do let me know, but please don't ask me to send it to you, because if it ain't on my site, I don't have it.

  8. Please, do not send me unsolicited attachments, image or otherwise; to do so is just plain rude. You don't want to be rude, now, do you?

  9. If you are a Web-based "business" that wants free advertising, you're dreaming. In Technicolour.

  10. If you want to link to my page: thank you, I'm flattered; you don't need to ask for my permission.

  11. If you want to write and tell me how much you like/dislike my page, you go right ahead. All the nice, complimentary letters will receive a toadying reply; nasty letters will get deleted promptly.

If you feel that you can abide by my rules, you may email me at:

Please note that you have to type in this email address into a message - it ain't clickable. I've made my email into an image in hopes of thwarting those auto webcrawlers that go out and gather electronic adresses; it doesn't seem to be working though.
