Here we were on the last stretch of the trip, and everyone was up and ready so early that we were on the road just after 8 am. The day was spent mostly trying to make miles, watching the temp. and pressure gauges and the odd side trip when I made the occasional wrong turn.
Coming to a stop, I turned off the engine in the driveway at 3:40 pm. Our adventure was over.
We couldn't have done it without Don and Cathy's kind help, or their RV. This whole experience was a success because of the RV, and for that we are forever greatful.

We weren't even home when we started planning for the 2000 summer vacation. With the east coast behind us, we were ready to take on the west coast.
