Day 12
August 24, 1999
We all could sense the trip was soon coming to an end, and
everyone was tired from this rushed visit to the east coast. But the great part was,
around every corner was a new surprise and I think it was that, which kept everyone
excited as we started heading home.
Not one to miss a chance to see the World's biggest Lobster
we stopped only minutes after we just got going.

Here Niki and Matt save Shediac, New
Brunswick.
Not much farther on, and we discovered that even though the
RV is made of aluminum, it does go up the magnetic hill. That place had quite a setup,
with waterslides, a zoo and lots of gift shops.
Along the way in Nackawic, New Brunswick, we came across,
you guessed it...The Worlds Largest Axe.

Matt is almost cut in half and Niki is
trying to get the axe to finish him off.
Next to the Axe, was a public dock on the river. A group of
kids the same age as Matt and Niki, were jumping and swimming. Matt and Niki, changed and
after a quick introduction they all instantly got along and played just as if they had
been friends for years.
The sun was starting to get low and we still had about 300
kms to go, so we dried our kids off and pushed on.
During this stretch, the cruise control started acting up,
but since we were getting back into the hills it didn't make much difference.
Late that evening the returned to the same campground we
were at on the way down in Riviere du Loup. We were getting really good at setting up the
RV now and it wasn't taking us any time at all. But this was also our last night on the
road. Tomorrow was Michelle's last day of vacation before starting work again for the
school year. As the kids played outside, we sat back, had a Frosted Frog and relaxed.
