APPLICATION FOR SEMINAR GRANT IN CHINESE STUDIES
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Application must be submitted by an accredited school, academic organization or research
institution.
- The subject discussed at the seminar must be consonant with the purposes of the
Foundation.
- Application data must include:
- A detailed proposal of the seminar, indicating the purpose, subject, schedule and
program of the proposed seminar.
- A list of the main speakers and participants, including their nationalities and academic
background.
- The title, subject and/or abstract of the papers.
- A list of budget items.
- The maximum of this grant is US$5,000.
- Seminar should be held within one year after the application is approved.
- The person responsible for application for this grant must conduct the seminar in
person.
- Upon conclusion of the seminar, a report together with papers delivered at the seminar,
in triplicate, must be submitted to the Foundation.
- Grant recipient must acknowledge support from the Pacific Cultural Foundation, the
Republic of China in all news releases, publicity and publications (e.g. seminar program
and proceedings); otherwise the grant will be revoked, and PCF will not accept a new
application from him/her.
- The application deadlines are March 1 and September 1 respectively.
- Application should arrive at PCF before the deadline. Do not send the application by
fax.
