APPLICATION FOR SEMINAR GRANT IN CHINESE STUDIES

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Application must be submitted by an accredited school, academic organization or research institution.
   
   
2. The subject discussed at the seminar must be consonant with the purposes of the Foundation.
   
   
3. Application data must include:
   
   
   • A detailed proposal of the seminar, indicating the purpose, subject, schedule and program of the proposed seminar.
   • A list of the main speakers and participants, including their nationalities and academic background.
   • The title, subject and/or abstract of the papers.
   • A list of budget items.
     
     
4. The maximum of this grant is US$5,000.
   
   
5. Seminar should be held within one year after the application is approved.
   
   
6. The person responsible for application for this grant must conduct the seminar in person.
   
   
7. Upon conclusion of the seminar, a report together with papers delivered at the seminar, in triplicate, must be submitted to the Foundation.
   
   
8. Grant recipient must acknowledge support from the Pacific Cultural Foundation, the Republic of China in all news releases, publicity and publications (e.g. seminar program and proceedings); otherwise the grant will be revoked, and PCF will not accept a new application from him/her.
   
   
9. The application deadlines are March 1 and September 1 respectively.
   
   
10. Application should arrive at PCF before the deadline. Do not send the application by fax.
