Education Relations Between Taiwan and Canada

Due to constant mutual contact between university rectors and professors, the academic ties between Taiwanese and Canadian universities have been strongly established. The table below shows the academic cooperation agreements signed between universities in Taiwan and Canada.

As shown in the table, twenty-two Canadian universities are in alliance with Taiwan's nineteen universities. In addition, Universite du Quebec a Trois Rivieres and Taiwan Forest Research Institute have signed a contract for cooperative research. The type of alliance between the universities of Taiwan and Canada include the exchange of Faculty, administrative staff, graduate students, undergraduate students and library information networks. It also encompasses course programming, joint research and joint organizing of conferences, seminars and workshops. With the broad coverage of cooperation, it can be seen that the cooperation between Taiwan and Canada's higher educational institutions has a very concrete foundation. Having this foundation, along with the efforts made by the two countries, the academic cooperation between Taiwan and Canada will flourish even more in the future.
