One of the things that I've always enjoyed is reading reviews about rock groups and their albums and their live performances. As a Tull fanatic from way back (see my Introduction to Tull page), I thought that it might be a good idea if I wrote up a series of small, capsule reviews about each of the Tull albums (and then CDs) that have come out over the years. When it comes right down to it, the strength or weakness of a Jethro Tull album/CD can be summed up in two words - Ian Anderson. You'll see what I mean in the reviews that follow.
I guess the other thing that bears mentioning here, is that there are a *lot* of Jethro Tull albums and/or CDs out there, so it's natural that these capsule reviews will take up more than one page. For the sake of my own sanity, and because of how I feel about the majority of the Tull music, I've divided up the group's music into stages, noted below. With that small bit of advice at hand, let's just proceed to the reviews. It's also important to realise that these reviews of the various Tull albums and CDs are not professionally oriented or aimed at being an analysis of the music of Tull; they are subjective comments on my part about the various albums, and should be taken with a grain (or two) of salt.
So pick your favourite Tull album or CD, and see what I have to say about it...!
