What time is it?
Welcome to these pages full of knowledge, wisdom, and some lore to help you survive in the temporal and level universe that we call home. My name is Jory Kessler, and I am a scholar, a seeker of knowledge, and one who is curious about the various aspects of the universe, both level and span-oriented, around us.
The universe of Continuum is a dangerous place. While much of its temporal and level regions and lore are hidden from you still to this point, the zones or regions called the Eras are your playground, your living room, and your training ground - the life that you lead may bring you to any or all of the places and times that encompass these Societies at some point during your busy lives, and thus it is in your best interest to have a firm grasp of the Societies and the life and times of the universe that govern your living here. And it's the only Universe you've got.
It is hoped that this Handbook to surviving in the Societies of Earth and the Continuum itself will be of assistance to both Players and GameMasters alike, and that some of the many questions that you might have will be answered within these myriad pages. I would suggest, for your own safety, that you guard these pages with all the dignity and skill that is yours. Someone who gains possession of this Handbook could, in theory, put your future selves and your Yet in terrible jeopardy. In some quarters, these documents might be considered evil, heretical, or just plain dangerous... and there those out among the temporal folds of the universe that mean you harm...
